TASCOS Coal Depot
TASCOS or Ten Acres & Stirchley Co Operative Society to give it its full title was one of several coal merchants still operating out of Kings Heath goods yard during the 1960s when domestic coal was still very much in demand. Prior to the Clean Air Act and the availability of North Sea made gas-fired central heating coal was still king for the majority of homes in Britain.
A goods yard or station wouldn't be complete without at least one coal merchant and this fine example would be at home on any layout big or small.
TASCOS Coal Depot is manufactured from a range of media including laser grade MDF, laser board and card by means of a combination of laser cutting and engraving. All parts except the roof tile sheets are cut completely and supplied free which means they are ready to assemble.
This model kit contains small parts and is intended for adult collectors.
